ConeMount Bearing Heaters USER’S MANUAL
Important:
Please read complete Cone Mounter Bearing Heater instructions before using.
USE
Carefully unpack your Cone Mounter Bearing Heater and remove all packaging materials and wrappings.
-Always wear heavy safety gloves to avoid risk of burn or shock.
-Remove the Cone Safety Guard from the Cone Mounter Bearing Heater.
-Place the bearing or gear to be heated on the cone of the Cone Mounter Bearing Heater.
-Place the thermostat box unit on the bearing. Be sure the thermostat rests on the bearing inner race.
NOTE: Some bearings may be too small for use with the thermostat unit. In those cases mark the bearing inner race with the temperature crayon provided.
NEVER place the thermostat directly on the cone unit!
-Plug the Cone Mounter Bearing Heater into a grounded electrical outlet of the correct voltage.
-Turn the switch on the control box to the "ON" position.
-A red control light will be visible on the control box unit. When the light goes out, the bearing can be easily positioned on the shaft.
-Turn the switch on the control box to the "OFF" position.
-Disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet.
-Replace the Cone Safety Guard over the Cone Mounter Bearing Heater to warn of possible high temperatures.
NOTE: The Cone Mounter Bearing Heater is not recommended for continuous use.
Bearings in excess of 100 Lbs. should be supported on the outer race to prevent damage to the cone unit.
CARE: Periodically, wipe the cool bearing heater unit with a clean, dry, soft cloth to remove dirt or grease residue. Also, clean the thermostat to insure proper calibration.
Important Cone Mounter Bearing Heater Safety Instructions:
-Dress Properly. Always wear heavy gloves to avoid risk of burn or shock.
-Avoid Dangerous Environmental Conditions. Do not use the Cone Mounter Bearing Heater in damp or wet locations, in or around water.
-Do Not Operate the Cone Mounter Bearing Heater in gaseous or explosive atmospheres, around combustible or flammable liquids, or hazardous materials.
-Do Not Operate the Cone Mounter Bearing Heater on any surface which may burn. Always place the unit on a flat surface for use.
-Do Not leave unit unattended.
-Disconnect Tool. Always disconnect the power cord from the wall receptacle when the unit is not in use.
-Use The Right Tool. Do not use the Cone Mounter Bearing Heater for any job except that for which it is intended.
-Do Not Abuse The Cord. Do not pull the power cord from the wall receptacle. Protect the cord from heat, oil, and sharp edges. Do not operate unit if power cord or plug show signs of damage.
-Warning: Keep Cone Mounter Bearing Heater unit dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. Keep work area clean.
